JAZZ LOUNGE OUTFIT INSPO
OCTOBER 30, 2017
Events are the perfect reason to dress up and look fabulous although in my experience, this can be quite the pickle. I’m the type of person who plans every intricate detail of their life so you can only imagine how intensely I plan my looks.
Okay enough rambling, the Safaricom Jazz Lounge is coming up this weekend. Jazz Lounge is basically a feel good event with lots of great jazz music (as the name suggests haha) and what’s even better is that all proceeds from the event go towards supporting the Ghetto Classics, a non-profit program that teaches music skills to the youth from underprivileged backgrounds. (Click http://safaricomjazzfestival.co.ke/ for more details)
So just in case you’re struggling with what to wear for this event, or any other event, I got you covered. I collaborated with my good friend Dhvani, who also happens to be a blogger, here’s more on her: https://ramblingsandsnaps.wordpress.com
For the first look, I wore a royal blue mermaid dress which I had tailored for my graduation and I’ve been in love with it since then, so much that I haven’t worn it since then. I just love looking and admiring it in my closet. The great thing about mermaid dresses is that they extenuate your curves, which is definitely a great thing! Dhvani wore a detailed blue umbrella skirt paired with a bright yellow top, which really reflects her very bright personality.

For the second look, we leaned more towards my style, which is basically a lot of black and white/ monochrome. If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with anything black and white. I went with a simple Posh t-shirt paired with basic black jeans and chunky sock boots. Dhvani wore a plain black body suit with a monochrome skirt paired with polka dot pumps.
